About Marisa Eve
You know those kids, who are always spacing out in class and doodling? Yeah, I was that child; consistently drawing and day dreaming. Now don’t get me wrong, I was actually a great student. I had a lot of ideas flowing around in that head of mine, but I found ways to hush my brain and pay attention. I used most of my free time, developing my skills. I earned three college degrees and multiple certifications; while spending the last two decades teaching children and raising my own children. A large part of my career has focused on developing creativity within the gifted student population. When 2020 hit, I decided that it was my time to finally let all of my creative energy flow.
One day during quarantine, I was icing and decorating cakes with my children. It suddenly occurred to me, “Why don’t I do this on a canvas”?! I began mixing acrylic paints with molding pastes and slathering out some abstract images. I slowly began to experiment with florals and copying images from my own photography.
I am no longer hushing those distracting voices in my head, to pay attention to other activities. I am loudly embracing that noise and creating art to share with all. Using only palette knives, I center around impasto style abstracts, florals, landscapes, and everyday natural beauty. I am an Atlanta Native, born and raised. Now, an Atlanta based artist, working out of my home studio. Let me make you a unique piece of art for your home, for a friend, or loved one.
